Union High School and WSU-V join Evergreen and Heritage in the STEM-PD Project

"Washington STEM launched STEM-PD in 2013 which enables teachers to have high-quality professional development (PD) and take control of their own learning. Currently in its second year,  STEM-PD is collaborating with educators in 50 schools across Washington to help introduce and use Iris Connect technology with existing professional development activities.

This year Union High School will join Evergreen and Heritage High School in the STEM-PD project. Additionally WSU-V faculty will research and evaluate this innovative method of providing professional development via film study. Through this grant Evergreen School District has received over $20,000 worth of Iris Connect technology for teachers to examine their practice. ESD112's Digital Leaning Department also received 5 Iris Connect  devices through this partnership with WA STEM.

The initial feedback from teachers has been that this is one of the best professional development experiences that they have ever had but we are still needing to work on how to support teacher's use of this great technology."
