Washington First Robotics Professional Development Opportunity

"Washington FIRST® Robotics has introduced thousands of students to Computer Science (CS) through its series of Robotics competitions, including 600 FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL) teams this year alone. Most teams are afterschool clubs, which can limit access for traditionally under-represented CS /STEM students. To help drive CS/STEM equity statewide, Robotics needs to be a daytime classroom offering, enabling under-represented students to envision CS/STEM as a part of their future before they enter high school. Washington FIRST Robotics was awarded a $75K OSPI igrant recently to facilitate professional development for elementary and middle school teachers between April-June, 2016 in five locations across Washington State (Kent, Olympia, Spokane, Vancouver, Wapato). We would encourage you to take advantage of this great opportunity. Please see this link to reserve your training today."
